Is Christian Bale gay? All about his sexuality

Christian Bale is one of this generation’s most celebrated and venerated actors. The physical transformations he undergoes to better portray some of his roles highlight his dedication to craft. Bale’s breakout role came in Steven Spielberg’s 1987 film Empire of The Sun

Bale gained further recognition for playing serial killer Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. Christian gained global fame for portraying Batman in Batman BeginsThe Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises. Among his numerous awards are two Golden Globes and an Academy Award.

Christian Bale is straight but doesn’t consciousness kissing men

Christian Bale is straight. However, his sexuality doesn’t restrict him from enjoying intimate moments with men.

After winning the Critics’ Choice Award for Leading Actor in a Comedy in September 2017, Bale shared a sweet smooch with his wife, Sibi Blazic, before planting an intimate kiss on clip director Adam McKay’s lips. Christian also smooched screenwriter Charles Randolph before collecting his award.

“That was just a lovely make-out session with my wife, and with Adam and with Charles,” Bale said

‘American Psycho’ director says she’s ‘mystified’ by Wall Lane bros obsessed with Christian Bale’s serial killer hero, saying they don’t comprehend the movie is a ‘gay man’s satire on masculinity’

Director Mary Harron, however, says she is “mystified” by the “Wall Road bros” who idolize Bateman, adding they have missed the point of the film.

Bateman might wear good suits and acquire money and power, but he is, at his core, a fool, she said—and the film itself is “a gay man’s satire on masculinity,” she told Letterboxd Journal in an interview marking the film’s silver anniversary.

American Psycho was based on a book by storyteller Bret Easton Ellis. Harron said “[Ellis] being queer allowed him to notice the homoerotic rituals among these alpha males, which is also true in sports, and it’s genuine in Wall Street, and all these things where men are prizing their extreme competition and their ‘elevating their prowess’ considerate of thing. There’s something very, very gay about the way they’re fetishizing looks and the gym.”

(The book turned feature went on to be a Broadway musical.)

For that and other reasons, Harron says, she and other filmmakers never expected the film would be embrac

Queer people have been trying to get a manage on what makes David Bowie such a homosexual icon—despite being allegedly straight—since he burst onto the scene in the behind ’60s. But as far as I’m aware—and discussions of Moonage Daydream aside—there’s only been one movie that’s succeeded in this aim. I’m speaking, of course, of Todd Haynes’ wild, glittery 1998 rock drama Velvet Goldmine.

In Goldmine, a young Christian Bale plays gay journalist Arthur Stuart, a man on a quest to detect out the truth about Slade, the childhood idol who helped him reach out of the closet. But Slade (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is a tricky character, a larger-than-life figure whose commitment to the bit leads Stuart down ever-windier paths until he ends up hooking up with Slade’s ex, Curt Wild (Ewan McGregor.)

‘American Psycho’ Director Says “Wall Street Bros” Missed Signal of Film: “A Male lover Man’s Satire on Masculinity”

American Psycho director Mary Harron said she’s “mystified” by the way the 2000 film has been “embraced by Wall Street bros.”

The filmmaker recently chatted with Letterboxd Journalabout the “sigma male” social media phenomenon and how some men have grown to look at Christian Bale‘s Patrick Bateman as a role model.

“I’m always so mystified by it,” Harron said. “I don’t think that Guinevere [Turner, American Psycho writer-actress] and I ever expected it to be embraced by Wall Street bros, at all. That was not our intention. So, did we fail? I’m not sure why [it happened], because Christian’s very clearly making fun of them… But, people read the Bible and decide that they should go and kill a lot of people. People read The Catcher in the Rye and resolve to shoot the president.”

However, The Notorious Bettie Page director added that “Wall Street bros” actually missed the overall point of christian bale gay
