Prue Leith has been married twice. The Bake Off judge's first husband, Rayne, was 20 years her senior and passed away in 2012, leaving Prue a widow at just 62. She was single for 14 years before discovery love again with her partner, John Playfair, support in 2016.

Since joining The Excellent British Bake Off, assess Prue Leith has change into a fan favourite with viewers who love her quirky fashion (seriously, so many pairs of glasses!) and innuendo-based humour. The South African restaurateur linked the show after the show, which originally aired on BBC, moved to Channel 4 in 2017.

Earlier this year, Prue hit the headlines after making a racy sex confession during an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women. The 83-year-old said she wouldn't refuse a libido jab if offered during the menopause, but her husband John Playfair, 73, was less than keen.

Great British Bake Off star Prue Leith, 81, opened up about a relationship she had with a man who ticked all of her boxes. The Channel 4 star admitted she had no regrets over their union as she wouldn't have been able to "hook up" with her now-husband John Playfair.

The Bake Off judge said she had "a lot of good times" with her former lover Ernest Hall but said she couldn't live with him since he had bipolar disorder.

Speaking on Annie Mac's podcast which aired yesterday, Prue revealed weeks before rendezvous him she had drunkenly told friends at a dinner party, her desired qualities of meeting a man in 2010.

She explained that she was looking for "someone Jewish, in his 70s, a artist and gay".

The South African cook was previously married to author Rayne Kruger from 1974 to 2002, when he died at the age of 80.
