Information for LGBTI refugees
The lesbian and gay community in Stuttgart warmly welcomes all woman loving woman, gay, bisexual, transsexual and intersexual refugees. There are several NGOs in Stuttgart which support LGBTI people and there are even some offers for LGBTI refugees. Unfortunately though, we are not able to offer special consultations for LGBTI refugees yet. We can, however, refer you to contacts and provide short-term assistance. Furthermore, our connections to the local authorities enable us to assist LGBTI people with regard to their unique needs in the process of their recognition as refugees. We are also currently working on increasing the awareness for the special needs of LGBTI people in refugee facilities.
The “Weissenburg” is the queer and lesbian community center and switchboard in Stuttgart. Das schwulste Auto Europas ist erstmals ein Schwabe
Seit inzwischen wählen die schwulen Autofans der französischen Organisation Ledorga den "European Gay Auto of the Year". Dieses Jahr konnte erstmals Daimler den Preis einheimsen: Das schwulste Auto des Kontinents ist der Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse Coupé.
Für den Wettbewerb sind jedes Jahr alle Wagen qualifiziert, die im Vorjahr auf den Markt gekommen sind, unabhängig von ihrer Bauart. In den meisten Jahren haben depart Ledorga-Mitglieder bisher sportliche Zweisitzer oder Cabrios zum Sieger gewählt. In den letzten beiden Jahren waren etwa der Fiat Spider und der Mazda MX5 ganz oben beide Wagen sind nur für zwei Insassen ausgelegt.
Deutsche Wagen waren bis dieses Jahr unter den schwulen Autofans nicht besonders beliebt: Unter den alt eingesessenen Marken hat bislang noch nie ein deutsches Auto gewinnen können. Immerhin wählte Ledorga die britische BMW-Tochter Mini und zum schwulsten Wagen des Jahres.

Rosa Note – our choir
Since Rosa Note, Stuttgart’s male lover men choir, has been captivating entertaining their German and European audiences with a refreshing mix of songs and cabaret. We present our programs with self-written, self-ironic lyrics and energetic choreographies. Our extensive repertoire consists of songs from various genres including rock, pop, jazz, chanson, musical, folklore and even classical music.
We have developed our own special design on stage with we call choral cabaret.
We hold concerts and performances several times a year including festivals in Germany und Europe and the Stuttgart gay pride parade. We’re also prepared to vocalize for special occasions, such as anniversaries, ceremonies, memorial services, birthdays or church services.
Our commitment to social issues is very crucial to us. Rosa Observe is one of the founding members ofWeissenburg e.V, the umbrella organization of all lgbt organizations in Stuttgart. Furthermore, we regularly perform at events relating to gay and woman loving woman politics or history, at church services or at events organized by the StuttgartAIDShelp organization.
