Alex Aiono was 14 when his parents moved the singer and his sisters from their home in Mesa to a one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles so he could more effectively pursue his dreams of launching a career in music. 

Six years later, his video mashup of "One Dance" by Drake and "Hasta el Amanecer" by Nicky Jam went viral, earning more than 70 million views on YouTube, where his total views have passed 963 million and he's well on his way to 6 million subscribers.

In 2019, he landed a role in the Netflix movie "Finding Ohana."

Now 24, Aiono is following through with a powerful full-length debut called "The Gospel at 23," having launched his own podcast, “Alex Aiono: Let's Get Into It,” on iHeartRadio.

Along the way, he's learned to manage his own expectations of what "making it" might glance like.
